ECWCS Gen III Level 2 Thermal Underwear Set
The ECWCS Gen III Level 2 thermal set combines efficient moisture management with reliable insulation. It is designed for situations with moderate or low physical activity, when the body generates less heat. The set can be worn on its own or layered with additional clothing depending on weather conditions.
The garment is made from Polartec® Power Dry, an advanced dual-layer fabric. The inner brushed surface helps retain warmth close to the body, while special channels in the fabric improve moisture transfer and air circulation. As a result, the material dries quickly and maintains a comfortable microclimate. Compared to cotton, Polartec Power Dry dries about twice as fast.
The Odor Resistant technology provides antibacterial protection and helps prevent unpleasant odors during extended wear.
The top features a high collar and a long zipper, allowing easy temperature control by adjusting ventilation.
Cuffs include thumb loops that keep the sleeves in place when adding outer layers. An extended back hem provides additional lower back coverage and stays securely tucked into the pants.
The pants share the same functional design. An elastic waistband ensures a secure fit, while the functional fly adds convenience.
A special gusset in the crotch area reduces pressure and friction, improving comfort and freedom of movement. Slightly shorter pant cuffs prevent fabric from bunching inside footwear.
