ECWCS Gen III Level 2 Thermal Underwear Set
The ECWCS Gen III Level 2 thermal set combines efficient moisture management with reliable insulation. It is designed for situations with low to moderate physical activity when maintaining body warmth is essential. This set is ideal for spending long periods outdoors, fishing, travel, or everyday use in cold weather.
The garment is made from Polartec® Power Dry, a technical fabric with a dual-layer construction. The inner fleece layer traps warmth close to the body, while the outer surface spreads moisture across the fabric for rapid evaporation. The grid-like structure creates air channels that improve ventilation and help maintain a comfortable body climate.
Compared to cotton fabrics, Polartec® Power Dry dries approximately twice as fast, helping keep the wearer dry and comfortable. The Odor Resistant technology provides antibacterial protection and helps prevent unpleasant odors.
Top
The top features a high collar and a long zipper, allowing easy adjustment of warmth and ventilation. Thumb holes in the cuffs help keep the sleeves securely in place when wearing additional layers.
The extended back panel allows the top to stay tucked into the pants, preventing it from riding up during movement.
Pants
The pants are made from the same functional fabric and provide the same balance of warmth and moisture control. A functional fly is positioned slightly below the waistband for convenience.
A specially designed gusset in the crotch area increases comfort and mobility by preventing seams from meeting at a single pressure point. This construction allows greater freedom of movement.
The pant legs are slightly shorter than those of the first base layer, ensuring they do not overlap inside footwear, improving overall comfort.
